TIPS TO HELP A
STRESS-FREE SESSION

PRIOR TO YOUR SESSION

GETTING IN EARLY

  • Beat the rush! Pre-book your photo session at least 2 weeks in advance. For a more relaxed experience, try to avoid peak times (Fridays & Weekends).

IF YOUR LITTLE ONE IS SCARED OF SANTA

  • Talk to your child about Santa and what to expect. Let them know Santa is friendly and ready for a fun visit!

  • Show your child photos of Santa a few times before the day of your session, so they get familiar with his appearance.

  • Read Christmas books or watch Christmas movies together to get them excited about the season and Santa’s visit.

  • Ask if they’re okay sitting on Santa’s lap. If not, no worries! Santa can still bring joy from a distance-beautiful photos are possible even without contact.

  • Make sure your child is well-rested, fed, and not hungry before the session (this makes for happier, more relaxed kiddos!).

  • If possible, avoid booking your session during your child's usual nap time, as they'll often be happier, more relaxed and ready to enjoy the experience.

  • While out and about, take opportunities to wave at Santa when you spot him at the shops to help your child become familiar with the jolly guy.

  • Encourage your child to bring their Christmas wish list, a drawing or a letter for Santa. It helps build excitement in the lead up to your session and makes the experience even more magical.

DAY OF SANTA PHOTOS

  • Pack your child's favourite toys, snacks, or drinks to help them feel comfortable and relaxed during the session. A happy, well-fed child makes for better photos.

  • Bring a spare outfit for your young children, just in case of any little accidents before your session.

  • Arrive early! Get to the photo location 5 minutes before your scheduled session time. Being early allows for a smoother transition into the shoot and ensures you won’t feel rushed.

  • On the way, try playing Christmas music in the car to help get your child excited or calm if they’re feeling nervous.

  • If your little one is hesitant about sitting with Santa, don’t worry! We encourage family involvement in the session, so feel free to jump in for a quick cuddle with your child to help them feel more comfortable.

  • Embrace the imperfections! Don't worry if your child doesn't smile or sit with Santa. Some of our favourite photos are the genuine, candid moments, and we always have a backup plan to include Santa in the magic.

SANTA PAWS

  • Please make sure your furry friend is well-groomed before the session - fresh and clean pets always look their best in photos!

  • Bring their favourite treats or toys to help keep them focused and calm during the session.

  • Please make sure your pet has had a toilet break before arriving.

  • Be patient. Every pet is different. Some warm up straight away, while others take a little longer. We'll work together to capture the best possible memories.

  • Santa is unable to hold pets at this time, due to personal reasons, but rest assured, there are still plenty of adorable photo opportunities!

  • For safety reasons, all pets must remain on a leash throughout the session.
